One in 20 Londoners plan to rent out their homes

Londoners are already preparing to rent out their homes in preparation for the Olympic rush. Approximately one in four are looking to leave London during the event and 5% are looking to rent rooms out during the Olympic Games.
According to the Telegraph.co.uk, the average rent for London is £4,200 per double bedroom meaning that Londoners are set to earn a total of £1.6 billion from letting rooms.
A YouGov survey questioned over 1,000 people and has revealed that a third of Londoners are leaving the city to avoid congestion, 10% would like to but had concerns over security and cost and two in five were worried about security.
